Counting trucks

We counted trucks. In the summer of 2007 with the help of Groundwork Somerville and team of Americorps volunteers we counted heavy trucks during the morning and evening rush hours on the major entry ways to Union Square. We recorded just the trucks class 5 (the size of a UPS truck) and above and the numbers were staggering. Standing in front of the Union Square post office for two hours in the morning - 8 am to 10 am -- how many heavy trucks do you think passed? It's 225.
