I just got back from a trip to Syndey, Australia. While I was there, they were having an Aroma Festival. This "Aroma Festival" was essentially a one day market of coffees, teas and chocolates from around the world that you could sample or buy with some regional music and dance performances thrown in. It smelled great! My wife and I were thinking it would be a great idea for Union Square to host an Aroma Festival. Coffee, tea and chocolates are a huge part of so many cultures. It would really bring people together. And a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate is a great way to get people out in the cooler months. There are many local businesses (Indian, Brazilian, and Korean shops, Taza Chocolates, Sherman's, Bloc 11, etc) that have some amazing products they could share. Here is the site if anyone wants to learn more about it.
